I am looking for a Fulvia Berlina GTE, ideally in a pale colour with cloth interior and lhd. The body must be good although I am less worried about the mechanics. Would anyone know of one possibly?

Can't remember the last time I see one in the UK. Brian 8227

Several people have now said to me that the Berlina GTE is somewhat rare in the UK. So....how about either a Fulvia Berlina 2C or GT? Again preferably lhd in a pale colour with a cloth interior and a good body? Anyone know of one in the UK?

Chris, I don't think any came here with cloth interiors, and your much more likely to find one in Holland as there are a lot more of them about over there. Brian 8227

Thanks Brian, I spend a lot of time in NE Italy and there are often good examples available there although I want the car for use in the UK, certainly to begin with. Hence trying to find one here. Its a bit of a trip down memory lane because our first family car was an excellent pale blue lhd 2C (which had come from South Africa to the UK ) which I bought for £150 in 1972 from a scrapyard in Chertsey. The brakes were u/s and the car was a little scruffy but otherwise completely sound. It served Jacky well until around 1978 when an Alfasud T boned her with our 3 young children inside - his fault - and was written off as uneconomical repair by the insurers. The Alfa was completely wrecked whilst the 2C had a damaged subframe and fron o/s suspension. It ended up going to Michael Newberry as he wanted the perfect bootlid and I said all or nothing! I will persist.

I often heard it said that an Esagamma on modern roads feels much as a GTE used to. Good crash protection as well.

A few saloons here, some need more work than others, but the 68 GT at €1500 looks better than the others http://bit.ly/d3HrZw

How kind and helpful you all are! I had already seen the green German one and the one in Florence but not the others. You obviously have more time than me! The white one in Kiel looks interesting and a possibility - I will follow it up and report back. I have a maximum price in mind and a couple of them are well beyond that but thanks anyway. Chris
