S1 Fuvia coupe front / rear disc removal procedure + tools needed

Due to my car not been driven for a long time, both front / rear brake discs are rusty.

I tried sand paper but the discs are still rusty.

What is the procedure + tools needed to remove front / rear discs?

Any advice most welcomed.

After removing the calipers, you will need the Lancia special tools that can be hired through the LMC.

You might manage on the car with an angle grinder fitted with a wire cup brush though this would not deal with the rear handbrake drums..

If you don’t know how long it is since it has all been apart I would give some thought to there being asbestos pads or shoes. And for the same reason cautious with the angle grinder even having washed everything down.

Thank you for your helpful advice.

Will see if the old pads can clean up the rust on the calipers. If not, I'll have to remove them.

No handbrake drum on series 1, separate set of  handbrake pads with mechanical mechanism.
Although the large slot head adjustment screw might be a problem if seized!
