i am trying to adjust the solex carbs on my s1 fulvia to improve idle smoothness.i think i have identified the idle mixture  adjustment screws but am unsure of the function of the adjacent adjustment screws.on another similar carburettor i noticed these screws are blanks.can anybody advise? best regards richard.

the mixture screws are on top of carbs with springs around the thread of screw, sounds like the other screws you mention are jets, and if so they should be screwed in carbs, and left alone. Smiley

 have just removed one.it is a brass taper with no hole and a rubber o ring at the top.screwing in or out affects idle
