I have found what I can only describe as a possible anti-roll bar at the rear of my 1949 Aprilia berlina. It comprises a circular bar about 20mm in diameter installed forward of the leaf spring.  Each outer end of this bar turns rearwards and is clamped to the lever arm of the damper on each side.  The traversing section of the bar is not attached to the bodyshell.

Is this a piece of home-made engineering or something from Lancia?

John
