This is very appealing, shame its in the States and the exchange rate is poor!

As you say, shame it's in the States because it could make a very satisfying restoration/preservation project .......

Beautiful little car. Can't believe these engines are only a hand span in length.

The USA one looks ideal for a resto as it looks virtually complete unlike the one in that field
Clarkey
Hmmm....how much will it cost to get it transported across the pond?
Hmmm....what would Matron say if she saw it next to my other project?
Hmmmm.....

What is that huge hole in the transmission tunnel about?

"Some one has cut a hole in the trans tunnel to access an unspecified part, but the seller is on the hunt for the missing part and believes it won’t be a difficult fix."

Via BaT commentary, don't worry the forum will put in a good word for you with matron!

Can't remember exact costs but I've always been surprised that shipping a car in a container from the US is much cheaper than I would have thought.

Five years ago I shipped a car from the States for just under £1,000, so maybe budget for £1,500 now; the biggest expense is potentially shipping it in the States to a suitable port, but Pennsylvania is not very far from the East coast ...

That sounds feasible - I didn't include taxes or import duty, because they will depend on the age and value of the vehicle; you can also add DVLA's registration fees and any costs incurred in supplying them with authentication details.

So that's £12,000 to buy it, £2,500 to ship it and pay EU duty, and 50% mark up! Trouble is, €25,000 sounds a bit steep for one needing total restoration...
