Well, it appears JK is a Lancia enthusiast. Noted in an article in last saturdays Times, he likes nothing more than a run in his vintage Lancia at the weekend.

I knew he was a big Italian marque owner, I especially loved his Maserati A6G which he sold a few years ago, but could find no reference to his owning a Lancia, anyone know which model he has, or seen it in the flesh?

But I wouldn't class the 037  as a "vintage" Lancia, assume its another Lancia?

Could just be The Times? I've noticed quite a few times on tv and in the press that any car older than about 30 years suddenly becomes 'vintage'. While it conjures up a Lambda or Bentley to us, other people will class a Morris Minor in the same bracket.

There is a recent clip on Italian TV of JayKay eulogising about 1950's Italian sports cars and Lancia Aurelia B20s in particular.
I didn't know he had one.

Whereas in motoring circles "Vintage" and "Veteran" have specific meanings in the world of collectibles, fashion or what-have-you the term "Vintage" means something characteristic of a specific past period i.e. anything other than contemporary. For instance vintage clothing might be anything from Edwardian to 1980's. It is one of those changes in the meaning of words that goes with a living language. I have had to accept that the term 1600s no longer means the years 1600 to 1610 but now means the 17th century i.e. the years 1600 to 1699. I'm afraid you can't fight it and you can't re-educate the new users of such terms. All you can do is shrug your shoulders and get on with your life.

After reading this thread, did a quick search and came across this Italian language page....

http://www.savelancia.it/?p=23251

Quick google translate of the paragraph about the Lancia connection.....

"In this interview he confessed his passion for classic cars and in particular for his favorite: the Lancia Aurelia B24"

I met JK at the 2016 Brooklands Auto Italia Day when he noticed my B20 on display in the paddock.

He was full of enthusiasm for the car but it was only when he mentioned that he thought it better than any of the Maserati's he owns,

did I actually pay any attention to who was talking - the penny then dropping.

My S2 will be on display at Prescott La Vito Rossa 27/5, so come over and have a chat if you are there.
