I think it was a 1600 Fanalone with a fancy fuel injection system. I meant to get a picture of the under bonnet set up but it was covered in people fixing things.

Is this the one?

Thanks to everyone who organised it. A nice day out. My track activity was curtailed by finding a pretty big screw in my tread but that didn't take much away from a lovely day.

I think I heard Barry Waterhouse's name mentioned by those delving under the bonnet.

The car you are thinking of is Justin Hildreth's with Kuglefisher into a bored out 1300 81mm dia pistons.....

Yes, I just reviewed some more pictures and this is a more probable candidate.

That's the one. I was delighted to catch the Maserati and the Aston, but to be fair, they had been balked in traffic.
The other (true) Fanalone CUC20H was indeed once owned by Barry Waterhouse.
Mine is a total hybrid 1968 S1/S2 1.3 Rallye, with many mods including:
Kügelfischer mechanical injection
81mm forged, high compression pistons ~1436cc
Ridiculous cams
Self-made exhaust manifold and system
Gasflowed head
Modified suspension, too complex to detail here
AP Racing magnesium front brake calipers

You were certainly flying round the circuit behind that Maserati!

Like to have seen that, looks good. At first glance I thought it was the Paul le Clerq (spelling?) injected Fulvia resprayed. I was tricked by the grilles in the front wings. Then I remembered that Paul blanked off the rear quarter lights and changed the body quite a lot.

Justin,

Welcome to the forum.   Perhaps start a thread for your car's history and spec?

Alas am on the wrong computer to post photos at the moment...but on the way.  Been a few years since I've been, even on the morning there were moments when I thought I'd not get there or even bother, but had a lovely time.  It really is fantastic escapism and a really good turnout, cars and people.

Hi Justin
Fantastic to see your car in action...😁....I think a lot of people would be interested to hear more if you have time and don't mind sharing your experiences.
