Going through my Aurelia water pumps and parts over the weekend I came to the conclusion that the 3 blade fans as fitted to the earlier cars are much better finished cosmetically than the 6 bladed fans as fitted to the later cars. I think there were also 4 bladed fans used around the period of 4th Series B20s. The blades of all the 6 blade fans I have are almost unfinished having had a very rough cleaning up whereas the fan blades on the 3 blade fans have all been quite highly polished. Any technical reason for this or just cost cutting I wonder?

I find I have a couple of surplus working rebuilt water pumps which are available with or without the fan blade assembly. I have both sizes of body available - i.e both sizes of main mounting bolt hole.
These pumps have the early steel seal fitted  - i.e not the later carbon/spring/rubber type - and are in working order with good impeller shafts and bushes with little or no  internal corrosion. They have the side manifold for the rubber hose fitted.

Also meant to say that rebuild kits for Aurelia water pumps are available from Italy which comprise a new impeller + shaft, pump seal, shaft bush and gaskets for €180 + post. My pumps I refer to above do not need rebuilding.
