Chaps,

I bought an electronic ignition system for my Coupe in the week, and fitted it yesterday.

It is a Pertronix system from the States, and it was really simple to fit and gets rid of the points and condensor, but because it is all contained inside the distributor it all looks standard.

I also took the option of having new HT leads and a high powered coil as well.

i had to adjust the timing to suit it, but now the car now runs noticeably smoother, although that might be all in the mind, either way its nice to get rid of the points and condensor.

If anyone is interested, I got it from American Motor Factors in Wiltshire, and the whole lot cost £193.83.

Thanks for the info. I had one on my '66 Mustang V* and it was a great improvement also.
