On a Fulvia I would definitely stick with a 80 profile tyre.  The fairly stiff (front) suspension/spring relies on the sidewall compliance as a measure of the elements of suspension, coupled to single acting dampers.  Tyre pressure is fairly critical to prevent too much 'rolling' of the tyre on a standard 4.5" rim, and I use and recommend a minimum of 1.7bar / 25psi.  A standard 165/80x14 tyre will also fit very nicely on the Flavia 5.5" Cromodora.  (It relates closely to the Series 1 coupé/Sport that uses a 145/80 tyre on the 4.5" steel wheel).  I did not like the Falken Sincere tyre very much, and have no experience of the other brands mentioned.  As the Sport 1600 prefers an H rating tyre, I presently use 165/80 Vredestein Classic Sprint (being considerably more reasonably priced that the re-produced Michelin XAS) on 5.5" Cromodoras, with complete satisfaction in all respects.  Whatever tyre you decide on, enjoy Fulvia motoring.

Thanks Roddy,
That all makes sense.
I completely love the car by the way. Not sure why it took me so long to own one.
