The answer is to be found on page 36 of the current Classics Cars.

Breathtaking really.

I have not seen the article either, but attached is a photograph (scanner u.s.) from The Times mid April this year.

Personally, I just find the increase in values has a negative effect on my enjoyment. The price of everything seems to go up in line with the value of the cars. I believe my children will benefit ..... so long as they do not upset me, in which case  the local donkey sanctuary might get a bonus!!!!

Given it's in the Aurelia section.... I'll hazard a guess at a B24S?

I am going to follow my father's example where it comes to inheritance. He said years ago he intends to drink it all before he goes! Still, if he goes unexpectedly we will have a hell f a good wake off the contents of the cellar.

More or less, bumbling along in the mid nineties around £30k, til they ran out of Ferraris to bid up, the price curve is almost vertical currently!

Indeed the B24S Spider, quoting form article " few cars can claim to be worth 25 times more than they were 15 years ago"

242 built over the course of a year or so. Just 4 years ago they magazine insured one for £300K, and their increase in value has been almost vertiginous since.

Anyone know how many survive or are in UK, Italy or other EU countries?

Possibly a few more than were originally built and there is one car apparently in existence today which was scrapped due to corrosion in the UK in the 70's.  I have certainly seen one dubious B24 Spider which purported to be genuine and most certainly wasn't.
