I don't recall ever seeing those yellow 4.16Si badges, nor those air scoops on the bonnet; is this a South African import, perhaps?

I am not sure I recognise the boot spoiler either. The wheels look like after market ones so I did wonder if it was somebodies custom take on a pint sized 8:32. However the South African angle is an interesting point.

It hasnt the Alcantara interior of the Symbol....and the wheels look much more secondhand than the car which is well presented.

https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ suggests it was first registered in the UK on 24th November 1989 so it's not an import.

As it's an original UK car it looks like a personal custom then.

Alcantara seats were on the Symbol. The ie had tweed upholstery which is actually rather nice, much more so than the cloth on non Alcantara Dedras.

It could be a dealer's 'Special Edition' - I know Goulders in Nottingham rebadged some Deltas and Prismas in an attempt to move some stock.
