I am looking into the possibility of making Appia floor pans - primarily the front/mid section which is a single piece, albeit with lots of swaging

I am at a very early stage and will share progress, but in the first instance, please let me know if you MAY (ie not a commitment) be interested. Obviously quality and price come into it as well ....

Are the floor pans common to all three Series? I assume the platform chassis used on the coachbuilt cars is different, but perhaps similar enough to be able to modify - that would certainly expand the potential market!

Thanks for you comments and links.

To answer your question Mike , I have done a provisional template using the furgoncino which has untouched floors. Plus, Mathilda and I have made some plaster of Paris copies of the profiles.

Next stage is to check these against my S3 which also has untouched floors. Initial measurements suggest that they are the same and Don Cross also thinks that the cars all share a common front/mid section. The thing that is different is the position of the cross member. I think that we should be able to re-produce a panel that will be adaptable for most models

If I can, I will find a way of checking the template against an S1 and S2 as well.

Ade, the notes for the Biondi panels are not evident, they suggest that the panels are good for S2/3 convertibles but it's not clear if they will fit other models.

I would appreciate any further comments
