The S1 Aprilia grille is flat in cross section, the S2 grille has a slight curve in the cross section, similar to an Appia or Aurelia.
I hope the pictures below show the difference......... its not much!!

I'm going to slightly disagree , s1's also had the curved grill on lusso models , flat grill is for berlina only curved is lusso or s2,  I'm no expert on Ardennes but the 2 I have in which both seem original both have the flat grills too ,there are also brass and steel grills available , brass seems much rarer , j

I would be interested in this, my car's grille being a bit rusty, but the link took me to various pieces of decorative furnishing and nought else. If there is an Aprilia grille to be bid for Iwould be grateful to be told where to find it on Ebay.

James, we will have to agree to disagree, all the original Lusso models I have owned or seen have the flat grille. A.

Someone got a bargain buying the ebay grille, it had been sold within a few hours of the post appearing on here.

My Aprilia was a 1939 Series 1 Lusso - it had a curved grille. As did the back of the Siamese kitten! See photo.
