Interesting and curious that it used a JAP (J A Prestwich) motor. JAP was a famous motorcycle and other engine manufacturer that flourished in Northumberland Park, Tottenham in north London. JAP was there from the early years of the 1900s through to the 1960s. Sadly, no trace now remains of JAP and the many other innovative engineering companies that once existed in the Lea Valley area. Such was the demise of the British manufacturing industry.
