Ade I think we will, both the car I've just sold and my fathers lusso have curved grills ,mine brass my fathers steel, both 100% original cars ,also the car I sold to Dave Gee , lusso, curved steel grill , I think it comes back to the "no such thing as a standard Lancia" theory that Norman Stewart came up with in the 70's , Lancia were a relatively small company in the 1930's and if they ran out of parts they would use what was available , you can clearly see this on Augusta's (some have bolted on mouldings where the factory ran out of lusso shells and some have pressed) also the variation in door handles between alloy brass or steel, we were told in Turin that my fathers car has the wrong door handles (alloy) yet I have an original press photo stamped by Alperton of a lusso augusta with alloy handles  , back to Aprilia's I don't doubt for a minute that your Lusso's had flat shells and were probably original , however our cars are original too ,maybe your cars were early Lusso's ?? as ours are all 39's ?? I can't answer that part I'm afraid all I can 100% say is that some 1st series cars had curved grills from the factory  and its not specific to s2 vehicles ,  also seen commonly on Aprilia's Aurelia's and Appia's is "flattened grills" where they have been pushed flatter than they originally would have been which look ok but not correct,( I've just re read this post and it could be taken that I'm proclaiming to be an expert which I'm not so please do not take any offense to what I have said its not meant to, j  Smiley )
