Probably wrong, but could not someone take a fancy to your valuable car and steal it from your home address in the dead of night? Or maybe clone car and supply dvla with updated name and address?

You don't put your address details on it, only your contacts.

Old tax discs are also collectable, obviously the older or more obscure the better. Pre war ones are particularly sought after. If you haven't got an old one for your car there are companies that sell period replicas.

I did wonder whether I could do an LMC style print out to fit in a tax disc with the car details on it .... if someone could do an image template I may be able to overlay text from the database .... combine it all and email to the member as a PDF ...

Unfortunately in NI, you still have to display a valid MOT disc, whilst in the RoI, you have to display, road tax, NCT ( MOT equivalent) and insurance discs!!!!

I'm very lucky in that I have "Fays" first ever tax disc from 1/1/1966, although that's too precious, so I'll photocopy it.
