Richard Fridd got me hooked on this "Classic Driver Daily" email.  Its a simple thing with a small number of photos each day of "interesting stuff". Sometimes an item might lead to an article but mostly adverts.  This one popped up today.

Nicely photographed.  Says one owner and all original.  I like the "Autovox" radio.

Fine car!  Grin

All original!  Grin

I am no Flaminia specialist, but I have La Lancia, and quickly checked the serial numbers:

It is the first of the 3C cars, with car number 3001 (824.10-3001) - OK, makes it moderately interesting!
Why does it not have a 3C engine? which should be 823.10
(here 823.00-3129 so a one carb engine which is from an earlier coupe or GT)

I understand now why there are no photos of the engine, apart from its number!

Really all original? 68'500€? Grin

I say that the daily email is "no text" and today there's a lot of it.  Here's the "web version" which looks just the same as the email.  Along side a lovely 1955 photo of a car dangling from a crane being loaded on a ferry there's some gorgeous boats, a BMW scrambler bike, a film with a Landrover V8 (yet to watch but will).

Two photos I took back in 1953 when we went to Jersey by boat from Weymouth.

Certainly a Hillman Minx, but I think it's the California model,  I was only 15 at the time so I didn't take too much notice!

Brian, I am sure you are right!!!

I  had a '56 Minx convertible back in the early 70's. Someone had done something to the engine, It would knock spots off a 1000cc Mini and hold a Fiat 124!!!  Quite commendable I felt, I wish I had it still.
