I've just noted that my car was registered in the UK on the 12th of March 1974. I'm guessing that the vehicle will have been constructed a while before that and was wondering how I would go about establishing the manufacture date of my car?

Do Lancia have a 'Heritage' centre who can verify such things?

All 2000 HFs were manufactured by 1973. You will need a letter from the club confirming as such. I previously detailed the process in other posts. It represents a £225.00 annual saving.

You should join the Flavia 2000 consortium http://www.flavia2000consortium.org.uk/home/

Colin Clamp of the consortium is a great help and can also  arrange for panels to be made.

If you contact Barbara Longlands she will be able to confirm the date your car was made.  Her contact details can be found in Viva Lancia in the useful contact section, under Secretary.

Cheers for all the info. If you could point me in the direction of one of your previous threads I'll have a read through the process.
I was unaware there was a flavia consortium but, I'll be joining this evening!

Although I have joined the club, I have not yet received my membership card or my first copy of Viva Lancia so am unable to contact here. If someone could post them here, I would be very grateful.

None of the email address seem valid, even when I do change the word 'dot' for a '.'!
Has anybody got a valid address?

Apologies, I meant any of the contact details for anyone in the Flavia Consortium. The email addresses shown don't seem to work.

Mike
Procedure for changing DVLA details is as follows. This is for vehicles which require evidence of date of manufacture which cannot be processed at the Post Office. The taxation class can be changed at any time and existing road tax refunded after historic vehicle tax disc received.

Complete Section 7 (Changes to current vehicle) of V5 document (logbook)
Enter "HISTORIC" under Tax class

Send V5 form, COMPLETED V10 FORM FOR NEW TAX DISC, current MOT (original not copy) and evidence of  date of manufacture to DVLA Swansea SA99 1DZ.

New tax disc will be issued within 2 weeks. Original documents returned within 4 weeks

To get refund for previous road tax obtain V14 form and send to DVLA. Only complete months refunded

Many thanks for the info. I've got my dating letter from Barbara Longlands and hopefully a MOT shouldn't be too far in the distant future so I'll get on with it then.
