Good value? Is this the last of the Aurelias in this price range I wonder.

It is a B10.
Trouble is that it would cost half as much again to bring it back to the UK!

Just in process of updating values for insurance - if this is worth what they reckon then I have hugely under-estimated the "value" of my B10. When I bought in 1981 nobody was interested, even in Italy, so my (then) immaculate and very original car was only just over £1k.
It is the old chestnut of whether we should use replacement value for our antiques, ceramics and cars or some slightly gut feeling of value with a bit either added or subtracted.
B10s will never ever approach B20 or B24 prices/values so I will continue to let my children drive it and enjoy it.

£1K back in 1981 is the equivalent of £20K now Brian.....you wos robbed!!!!

Wink

But seriously, £1K then is worth about £5/6K now.......am sure similar applies to the B20s...so the values have gone up quite a bit. Its more the time effort and grief it would take to research, find, pay for ( premium too) and then ship same to UK....factor those in and its 20/30% of value of car, so you must add that in to "value" of car

Forgetting the legal requirement for motor insurance, my view is and always has been that if one chooses to insure then the item insured MUST be insured for its full replacement value. For cars this means the policy must be an 'Agreed Value' policy whatever the age of the car so there is no argument about condition, mileage etc in the event of a claim.
To underinsure even with Agreed Value is very shortsighted because if there is a substantial claim, the insurers will always try to find ways to negotiate the claim down IMHO.
