i'm repairing the front end of a B20 and need to reconstruct the air intakes for the brakes that sit below the fog lamps in the front panel, as these are different to a 6th series (that's all I have to go off) has anyone got any good photo's of what the vent looks like behind the grill and behind the wing, any pictures welcome they are all of use when you have nothing to go off, j

Hi James,

My 4th series is stripped and the vents and sheet metal behind are original and unmodified. Will take some photos at the weekend and post here.

Are you sure they are for the brakes?

This is what I have on my computer:

yes that's ideal thankyou, my mistake they are for the brakes on a 6th series, Andy Tate has emailed me some very usefull pictures but the more the merrier as you can never have too many to go off so if you can take some more i'd be very grateful , j

That looks like a nice body William. What's the rest of it like?

Hi Chris,
Pretty good really. Some dents at the front - getting the grille aperture back to shape was tricky, a dent at the base was hard to get behind to push out. Sills mainly good, just a couple of repair sections at the base. Front wheelarches didn't need any attention, but the rears (double skinned) had pin-hole perforations at the rear. Floorpans untouched... All in all about as good as I could have hoped. It will be very 'crisp' and correct when done. Thanks for the contact to your body/paint man. He's coming to visit the car in a few weeks.
Cheers,
William
