MOT ‘til October 2014. Tax ‘til August 2014

I’m selling my Beta Coupe. It is an extremely rare pre-facelift model with the low ratio gearbox (prized by Beta racers), chrome door mirrors and rear bench seat. The car has a red/blue dealer fit part leather interior. It may be the last 1300 car of this type on the road in the UK. I do not know of another.

I had intended to restore this car but came across an almost identical post-facelift 1300 model in excellent condition so bought that instead.

The good stuff;

•   46K genuine miles, documented by MOT certificates dating back to the 1980’s
•   Front inner wings, both sills and front cross member replaced or repaired (with photographic record). All filled with Wurth cavity wax since.
•   Rear brake callipers recently refurbished.
•   Taxed & Tested.
•   Drives well and starts every time first time.

The not so good stuff;

•   Some corrosion on the front scuttle around the windscreen (this was the main job left to do) and rear panel.
•   Corrosion on the leading edge of the bonnet.
•   OS door skin shot (can supply replacement at cost).
•   Corrosion on bottom edge of the NS door.
•   Door cards fitted are the facelift type and could do with replacing (can supply pre-facelift cards at cost)
•   Paint work generally very faded/patchy.
•   Sump gasket is leaking oil onto the exhaust (replacement gasket supplied free)
•   Rear OS shock leaking (advisory on MOT).

I have owned this car since 2007 and it has continued to fire my interest in Lancia. The car is a great drive with much more power and torque than you would expect from any 1300 engine. The gearbox and mirrors are probably worth over £300 but it would be a tragedy to break such a rare car.

Why not enjoy a summers motoring then get on with the restoration!

Offers on £1100. Call Neil on 07786113030
