There we were motoring along after a nice day out.......last village before the Lucca city limit and what happens......

I may as well have hit by lightning as a Pastel blue B20 hove into view.......I nearly crashed the Volkswagen Up!.......

Chances......1/2/3 million to 1?Huh??!!!!!!

Perhaps that was Count Umberto Rossi, who has a super house overlooking the town. He has a Lambda as well, which was undergoing restoration when we were there on the last Fobello trip.

I was just about to suggest the same John. He has a lhd 5th Series (I think or maybe 6th) B20 which he drives with great verve daily during the Spring and Summer.

Didn't see it today despite being on the same road......Will ask my landlord if he knows of him.

My landlord also kindly allowed the delivery of the indicators to his address....am very pleased, they are almost like New, the lenses

Perhaps he might recognise him. He's the one in the blue shirt, watching as Mike Benwell's car gets sorted out. The Count's Lambda is in the background - as dismantled as possible.
Regards, John

Perhaps advisable to be warned that Count Rossi is from a family whose products are thought by some to be best shaken and not stirred!

Well....would you believe it.......

Now a very nice 23.5 degrees here........as we walked the streets of Lucca......a classic car rally pulls in!!!

Two new Maserati QP support cars....a Merak, 2 Ghilbis, an indie and maybe a Mistral convertible....and a 4200 spider.

But also 3 Lancias........one a black B20 coupe.....the 39 Aprilia looked in fine fettle as did the Flavia convertible....pics to follow.....

Who said lightning doesn't strike twice!!!!!
