This was probably my best buy of the year.  Its a huge thick book with Lancia interest in the Targa Florio section.  Don't be put off by it being in German, in truth its in about seven languages with a short introduction to each chapter being the limit of the text.  It might "just" be a photo book, but a great one...

For more Targa interest, and a lot more text, but at a considerable price, there's this one:

An American book, very well written, a beautiful item in its own right.  While Porsche is the hook its got plenty of photos of everyone else.  The author raced there himself at the time he was making this film:

Its an edgy watch, death was a big part of the scene, but very atmospheric and great footage.

This was enjoyed as well:

As I couldn't read the website I got some help from Google:

"Reparto Corse Lancia, Gianni Tonti and Emanuele Sanfront , with a preface by Sandro Munari , describes the production of the legendary factory in Borgo San Paolo di Torino from 1967 to 1974 , when it was the same technical director Gianni Tonti . It is the period in which the winning Lancia Fulvia HF is . It describes and shows the " behind the scenes" of the races , mechanics , their professionalism, brand loyalty , some amusing anecdotes , race strategies , the cunning of the sporting director Cesare Fiorio , technical choices , activity of pilots and co- pilots. In summary, the story of how he was born and was made the Fulvia , including its evolution very special boat as the F & M Special ... and much more.

Of all the legendary coupe competition , held at the sports department of the House of Turin , Tonti wrote a little book that highlights changes , interventions , updates and competitions which he participated, the drivers who have driven and many other interesting news . The book, 300 pages , reports in the appendix, the "notes" of Tonti related to 7 cars, including the glorious " Fulvietta " No. 14 with Sandro Munari and Mario Mannucci won the Monte Carlo Rally 1972.
The version of " Limited Edition" , aimed at enthusiasts who want to know everything, absolutely everything about Lance, also includes a second volume of 204 pages , which contains all the notebooks and registers with the detailed description of the 49 Fulvia HF race prepared by Reparto Corse Lancia.

The graphic design tends to give breath and relevance to the contents , whether texts or images, via an elegant spaciousness and never intrusive which is also reflected in the particularity of the prestige format : 27 x 30 cm. A book "great" and a great book that gives the reader a way to go deep in the stories , told in travel and situations experienced by the authors . Work that can be likened to a treasure trove of memories and emotions for the first time revealed to the general public . With a modern design, clean, basic , designed to highlight the emotional, romantic and present documentary of the many previously unpublished photographs .

The book Reparto Corse Lancia is available in the normal version, the cover price of 72 Euros and in the "Limited Edition" 176 Euros . Of this edition , with the two volumes enclosed in a box , there is a limited edition of two hundred copies numbered and autographed with personal dedications . Advance booking of the Limited version , it gives the right to receive an official invitation to the presentation of the book that will take place at the Automobile Museum in Turin November 15, 2013 .
Will be present , in addition to the authors , Gianni Tonti and Emanuele Sanfront , many mechanics , pilots, co- pilots and all friends of the Reparto Corse Lancia.

The book can be purchased , as well as on the website , in the 26th and 27th of October to Fiera di Padova at the stand of the ICA . That same Saturday , also at the booth , at 16, there will be a presentation with the participation of Gianni Tonti , Emanuele Sanfront , Sandro Munari , the ICA President Angelo Sticchi Damiani and many other friends of the Reparto Corse Lancia.

Reparto Corse Lancia is also present on Facebook, with photographs, previously unpublished content and publication information ."
