Hi All

Trying to get as much info on the short lived Factory Beta Coupe Rally Cars. Anyone have any external/internal pictures and any specs on mods from original coupe spec?

From what I have read so far (not found much so far) they used a version of the 1800 Series 1 engine and there was a group 3 and group 4 version produced (mainly going off the available wheel arch extensions).

Thanks

Peter

They used a version of the Abarth 16 valve twin-cam cylinder head, mated to the Lancia block. It's all in 'Twin-Cam Italia' by Phil Ward. I could try to scan the pages if you can't get hold of a copy.

Hi Neil

Ah, I am away in France and hence no access to my books and could not remember if any of the few Beta books I have mentioned it. I will look it up when I get back, many thanks for letting me know.

Hi

Excuse my ignorance, but where would I obtain the homologation papers?

I believe that the following gentlemen in Switzerland can supply the papers you need, I'm not sure if there is a charge but if there is its a lot less than the RACMSA want

Alex seems to know a great deal about the different sets of papers available

His email address is - a.beeler@alexbeeler.ch

Hope this helps
