I am coming back to the UK for a brief trip next weekend (early Nov) and wondered if anyone could give me a couple of tips for places to stay .....

Being an expat, I would love to find a decent pub serving decent food at a decent price - and have accomodation (or very nearby). The areas that I am looking to stay are Wrexham/Oswestry and Hereford

All suggestions would be appreciated !

Not been for many years but the Dun Cow in Shrewsbury used to be good for food.

Or the LMC magazine local meetings - find the local groups and see where they go - I'd reckon we all choose good pubs !
