Hello
I agree with Scarpia that often there is just no substitute for  a hard copy. Is it possible to get some quotes for a print run of this Journal?
Perhaps starting with the printers of VL and maybe sources in Eastern Europe and the Far East. I would be happy to make the calls but regretfully I don't have a copy of the Journal for reference. If anyone can supply me with some basic details e.g. size, no. of pages, no.of colours, I could make some initial inquiries Hoping I'm not treading on anybody's toes here.
Maybe a subject for discussion, to gauge interest amongst those attending Fulvia 50.

As before, there is an Aurelia version ( have two copies of it) , but its not 50 pages long, perhaps there is another more fulsome compilation that I haven't seen?

I do like a hard copy, have steadily bulked up my VLs collection over this last year, shortly to collect a number of years editions going back to the 70s

What are the 2 slightly different versions Brian? I have my original from when they were published for LMC Members and I thought they were only published once?
Chris

Hi Chris,
Have a look at http://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5669.msg40700#msg40700 where I'd previously mentioned it and noted the differences, but the first version was 1977 and the second 1985.

Hi Tim,
I don't think you'd be treading on toes - it is a general thing that I think the club could do with : an idea of what is needed to produce hard copy and what sort of prices it cost and how we'd get it delivered. It is a separate topic and something worth investigating. As technology moves along then these things should become affordable and easy enough to do. The database is certainly geared up to producing information in PDF format which I've always hoping would be easy enough to get produced in print.
regards,
Steve

Thanks Brian,
The wonder of the forum/internet! I have a couple of copies of the original version - one a little battered and the other is pristine - but I have now been able to collect the additional article by Tim B and Peter G which was added to the later version. Thanks a lot.

This book and the Beta Journal are among my favourite car books. I wonder if some sort of re-run, or ebook versions would be feasable?

Hi Neil

Going off topic slightly, please enlighten me, what is the Beta Journal?

Peter

Peter - hardly off topic, as we seem to be discussing the reproduction of these excellent past LMC publications. The Beta Journal was published in 1989 on very much the same lines of it's Fulvia counterpart (a mixture of LMC and general media articles). It is also edited by Brian and is 104 pages with  a slightly better glued binding.

See below next to my 1985 Fulvia Journal.

My favourite article in the Beta Journal; 1300 Coupe v Alfasud Sprint, Fiat 128, Ford Capri, Renault 15, Vauxhall Cavalier. The Spider is compared to a similar line up including a Renault Fuego. When did you last see a Fuego, let alone a 15! Brilliant!

Thanks for that, I have never heard of it, but sounds like something I would like to acquire at some point in the future so if anyone knows of one for sale (at affordable price of course!) please let me know.
