I am searching for an original type Condor radio for my 4th series B20, does not have to be working as I am hoping to convert it to FM (sacrilege!), but should be cosmetically good.

Anyone help?

Tony,

I am sure the best source of information about radios and many other things to do with Aurelia B20 is the illustrious John Savage! And knowing John, he might just be able to supply you with the radio you need.

If you need contact information for John, please email me direct.

Not what you want I know, but I have a 'square' Condor valve radio for a 1st series B20 which has been repaired by a specialist and which has superb tone. So good that the repairer used it in his workshop to listen to after repair until I collected it!
This is possibly available if required.
I also have just the front panel for a square Condor radio which could have a modern unit fitted behind it.

Thanks, Colin and Chris, and I will get in touch with John. Meanwhile the early Condor set should find a home! See later thread.

An ad, and what looks to me like a Condor logo on the B24

My Condor found a home in the UK in 2008 but I still have a Condor square radio fascia front panel which could form the basis of a FM conversion if anyone is interested.
Be careful if you buy an old valve square fronted Condor radio by the way as they can be too long for 1st and 2nd series Aurelia B20.

This is what a 4th Series Condor radio should look like.
