Now that we are in 2013, we are counting down to our wedding which is to take place next year in the Lake District.  We are going for a 1950's / 1960's theme and would like some suggestions for suitable wedding cars from the '50's and '60's (obviously we are only looking for Lancias).  Our initial thoughts and desires are for any of the following:

Aurelia B24 Spider (if there are any out there)
Aurelia B20
Flaminia (any other than berlina)
Appia berlina S3 or convertible
Aprilia
Flavia convertible

Perhaps we are being a bit specific and ambitious, but if we can't find any of these we may be "stuck" with my Lybra, Delta or Y10!!! If anybody has any suggestions of cars or thinks that you can help us out, please let me know.  Any help would be greatly appreciated  Smiley

Hi Stuart,  I am amazed at the response that you got to your request for a wedding car suggestion. I could offer my kappa Coupe, but it might be bit difficult getting out from the back seat. It is the only car that I have now. Good luck .

Hi Donald,

Although we have had a couple of offers via private messages, we are a little disappointed by the lack of response.  We will definitely keep your offer in mind.

Maybe you have time to sell your current cars and buy something on your wish list. Only a suggestion.

Unfortunately Peter, if I sold the Lybra, Y10 and Fulvia, I still wouldn't have enough for the deposit on any of the cars we would like for the wedding car.  In fact I would probably have to pay for somebody to take the Y10 and Lybra away!  And no, I won't sell the Delta!!!!!

Stuart,

Hope you get what you want, however you can always use my Thesis, not quite on your 50-60's wish list, nevertheless it does take styling cues from that period.

It is very surprising, especially knowing what you have done for this club over the years that no-one has stepped forward to help you out.

Hi Stuart - when & where? - have you got that fixed yet? - A B20 is not an ideal wedding car if the bride has a large dress, but if you both really wanted it! - let's discuss! - Adrian

Paul,
As Stuart has already said he's had a number of offers by PM, one of which was myself, although my 2c Berlina doesn't fit in with the wish list she has been previously used for LMC Members Weddings and the offer is there.

Brian,

Stuarts actual quote was that he had had a "couple" of offers by PM and felt somewhat disappointed with the lack of response, hence my comment which was highlighting that Stuart has done so much for this club in organising AGM's, GNW's and NEC's etc that no-one who owns any of his preferred vehicles had at that point stepped forward.
I'm sure he is very appreciative of the offers he has had from other members with differing cars and my comments did not intend to offend anyone who had generously offered their cars.

When my B20 (long gone) was used for a wedding I took out the passenger seat.  I just looked out the article that made Viva Lancia and the cover photo.  I see them quite often and that's THE wedding photo they have out.
