I got a pair of ?Renault equivalents from Omicron a few years  ago for very much less.  I doubt you could tell the difference.

Yes, my comment was tongue in cheek. I thought the same part was actually shared/common between the Renault and the Zagato which would be a breathtaking bit of transfer pricing as between both marketplaces/models. Apparently this pair have been restored. Maybe there is something in the double parabola feature that distinguishes them from the rest.

Guys

I may be wrong but I think the Renault parts are generally concave in design (having had bought some of them myself in early Zag Fulvia ownership).

the Fulvia lights are convex with side light built in. The Cibie lens is for Rhd or Lhd (bulb twists c10deg) to effect change!

Zagato "borrowed" them from a Citroen Ami!! (Ami 8 I think) This is the cheap source of replacement glass!

Yes, I think thats it - the Citroen Ami item is a direct swop. The Renault reference threw me for a bit but it is useful to know that there may be a further alternative if one is not a perfectionist (and not worried about beam deflection if the Renault items are LHD type?)

I like it when I see examples of parts going home.  The example that comes first to mind is kitcars being bought to salvage parts to restore Ford escorts and Cortinas.  Would the day come when a Citroen restorer comes here looking for lights?

Guess mine were Ami then, they are convex and have sidelights in them.
Now you have me lusting after an Ami 8 again, surely the ugliest car ever made and drives like a 2CV on steroids.  Must be enormous fun.

How about the Bijou?
2CV and it's variants as well as ( Old) Fiat 500's are great fun motoring on a budget Wink

If we are talking "Bargain Basement" the one with the right badge, ie the Y10, is still unbeatable.

And by an amazing coincidence my Low Mileage Selectronic as recently featured on E-BAY is still available.
The lucky buyer who won it for £501 has had to pull out without even seeing it for "Family" reasons.

With only 33000 miles under its wheels and a fresh MOT it has to be a bargain for somebody! Grab it now and save me from re-listing it in the New Year.
