Finally I wrapped the seats in plastic with a little feed hide smeared underneath the seats in the thinking it will generate a little moisture and aroma for them. Now they will be safely packed away.

........must be leather then...............

P

No doubt the same/similar to my 2c's interior which is always being mistaken for leather.

The Spence car is missing its correct (and beautifully shaped) front bumper.  Given time and money it should probably be possible to find one eventually, but not that easy a job (unless the consortium has one) and they are big and quite expensive to re-chrome.  I'd put this missing part as a £1k discount before anything else is taken into account.

I just spotted a company in Italy that is selling repro, stainless steel, bumpers for Flavia Vignales (as well as coupe and sport, Flaminia GT and Sport).
Price?  Roughly £1,000 for the pair, which seems fair.  Are these made in China?  I wonder how accurate the shape is.

I think that the agents are based in Bath as this looks like the same thing - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lancia-Flavia-Vignale-Convertible-Cabriolet-brand-new-stainless-steel-bumpers-/350636181830?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ALancia|Model%3AFlavia&hash=item51a38b8946  - I spoke to the guy about a set for my Flaminia (which they also do), in the end I re-fettled mine as I needed them quicker than they could get them in (for SpaItalia).  They get them made in Vietnam in Ho Chi Min City.

I think the parts originate from there:

Check also the other pages of the website.

No relation nor experience with the company.

No. Classic Lancia source their bumpers from East Germany.

Charles, I was responding to the post by William Corke, and the posted image. I had not checked the link in your post, sorry!

We seem to be moving even further away from our initial subject, the Flavia Vignale for sale....

A check of the website posted by William shows that they are indeed resellers for "Classic Lancia", with a link to that company.
Not quite clear what the italian dealer means by "Il prezzo si riferisce ad un singolo paraurti" : one bumper, or price for one set.

Strange how all those dealers are suddenly offering bumpers for rare models! And 2 different producers in China / "East Germany" and Vietnam, with approximately the same products : why not?

Someone should investigate, and suggest they do also B12 bumpers: Parisien, are you there?

......course I'm here Sebastien..........I never go away....even when I'm not here........ Grin

As per one of my last posts, I left my bumpers in GB for onwards travel/fixing/rechroming......but in no rush at moment..would love them fixed and refurbed to stick back on, expect it won't be cheap but prefer originals to iffy (?) repros

Oh well.....

Hi,

currently we only list bumpers for cars coupe or
convertible ......
We do not have bumpers for Aurelia B12.

Thank you, greetings.

Just a question has anyone actually seen this car in the last month or so looks a interesting car at the right price. If I could sell a series 1 Appia  might make a nice project.

The car has now gone from the Godinbanks stocklist, so, is there a new owner of a Flavia Vignale in our ranks, apart of course from Tim with his find from Belgium !!!!

Cristo, you showed an interest, but dependant on the sale of an Appia, did you make it ??
