« on: 23 October, 2012, 05:47:22 PM »

Hello all. this is a dumb question, due to numptyness, so be gentle with me Wink  i need a picture of the rubber seal that goes in the door aperture it slides into the groove in the stainless strip that goes from the screen pillar all the way to the b pillar, what I need is a picture of the said seal, to see which way round it fits, ie have i got the n/s fitted to the offside, stupid request I know but Its been so long since being flooded out, that I have forgot which way round they fit, there, said it was silly Wink Wink

I don't consider that a silly question at all. I didn't know off hand so went to take a look!

The smooth bit is on the inside ... whilst the grooved part is on the outside.

The photo below is taken from the driver's side looking into the car (i.e. the outside grooved bit). I've held this back with a screwdriver for illustration purposes!  Smiley

Thanks for that, I have it the right way round, the top of the glass just catches the rubber at the wrong place, adjustment and a look at the weekend me thinks, it may be that the door may need to come forward about 1mm,watch this space, and thanks for taking the time for the pic Roger
