I have just stumbled on some photos from 1991 that might be of interest. Of course it is completely irresponsible to take photos while driving and I deny ever doing it, but the photos below might suggest otherwise.

One is of Terry Brown’s Flavia saloon somewhere near Oxford on the way home from a Flavia Consortium AGM. The other was taken on the motorway there, just to show how easy it was at about an indicated 90 MPH. I notice that the oil pressure looks a bit low, but then I think it always did and nothing came of it.

Does it not get a bit noisy up at 90mph? I've got a stainless steel exhaust on mine and I do feel that the exhaust note gets to be a bit strident at speeds over 70mph. But then my everyday car for comparison is a V6 Thema and it whispers along.

Mine had a stainless system too and it was a work of art. See photo of it upside down beside the car after it had been repaired – one of the welds had cracked at the complex 4 into 1 joint.

I don’t remember it being particularly noisy, but being a soft-top there was a lot of wind noise. The Kugelfischer injection system made a characteristic thrashing sound, having more moving parts than most motor cars, but it wasn’t intrusive.

It's OK as long as you don't use your phone to take the photo  Grin

Here`s one earlier this year when I went to Italy to collect my Coupe.
The car on the trailer is a 105 series Guilis saloon.
