I have lost track of where they are on this forum, but there were recent posts prompted by Michael Clark’s memories that included Tony Amato, so I’ll post something here.

This is because in looking back into old photos I found things I wasn’t looking for (isn’t that always the way?) that might be of interest. Here below are two photos: one of Tony looking very smart at Brooklands in 1992 leaning on Robin Earnshaw’s B20. The other is of what must have been the last engine rebuild that Tony did, taken in 1991. This is a V12 Colombo designed Ferrari engine finished and ready to go back in to the 250 GT it came from. I post this because it shows that despite the chaos and clutter that characterised Tony’s workshop, he was still capabale of producuing things of beauty.
