Well after all that, we didn't  Angry.

Rosie threw a hissy fit (must be because I washed her again) lost all oil pressure (didn't believe the gauge but that's a long story) and ran a big end on the A120. Ignominious wait for the AA and a tow home one one of their new fangled  car trailers that pop out of a the back of a Virago/Renault/Nissan van.

Sorry to hear about the big end, that is not what anyone wants, but glad to know that the AA got you home safely.

I made it to the meeting (first time for me) and had a very enjoyable evening .... Kappa, Thesis, Flaminia 3C, Flavia Sport and my little Appia. It had to be done, such a fine evening and with rain promised for the next few days. The Chequers is a nice pub, albeit the car park is on the small side, and the IPA was excellent.

I won't say the run was faultless, temperature is low at about 120 (rad flaps fixed open) and oil pressure reading about 37 irrespective of temp or revs !! However, a vibration begins to kick in at about 55 and becomes (for me) unacceptable at 70 so cruising at 60/65 is the rule. Any suggestions please, all I have checked is the 6 bolts on the prop shaft spiders which seem ok.

Good luck with the repairs Tim, will the saga be recorded on the Forum?
