Restoring a S2 Fulvia 5 Speed box:

There are TWO types of 2nd Series 5 speed gearboxes in terms of pinion gear internal diameter and design.

Early boxes had single oil spiral groove on inside surface of the gears and a synchromesh 1st gear.

Internal Diameter of (1st,2nd,3rd,4th pinion shaft gears) 48, 48,46,43.5 mm

Later gearboxes for late S2 and S3 cars had spiral design on the pinion gear hubs and internal diameter on gears (1,2,3,4) of 47, 47, 47,47 mm respectively. These also had dog tooth 1st gear (no synchromesh on 1st).

I am after the earlier 48mm dia 1st pinion gear with hub.

It has 40 teeth and should be same for 818-740 and 818-750 gearboxes.

Cheers
