Hi

I have been looking through the forum and there have been some questions on S1 wheel colour in the past, in particular the correct shade of white/cream.  The most specific response I could find was BMC white with a bit of yellow, before I go off and make the wheels too custardy  Smiley  -does anybody have anything more accurate?

thanks

I think that's about as near as you're likely to get, but if you do find something else please let us know as my 2c wheels need repainting.

Finally got the wheels done, very pleased with the new look - I just need the stainless steel wheel rims now, does anyone know where I can get a set?

You can usually find them on ebay.it or ebay.de, long time ago when I had mine but Omicron used to do the stainless steel machine screws, as a matter of interest who painted your wheels as I need to get mine done?
Just found these on Subito.it http://www.subito.it/accessori-auto/corniere-cerchioni-lancia-fulvia-coupe-imperia-36755077.htm, but very expensive to those previously seen.

Richard, I have a set of NOS Fulvia wheel trims lurking in my loft and are somewhat cheaper than those on Subito if you are interested. Rgds - Colin.

PS - also have a set of NOS hubcaps with the badges attached as fitted to some berlinas and maybe other Fulvias.

Hi Brian,

They're powder coated by a firm in Swindon called Holland & Farmer.  I do know that I used up their last batch of the correct colour and they would need to order in a bulk supply which would bump up the price £80 for the four for me, although I had to get them shot blasted elsewhere.  Let me know and I can dig out all the details.

Colin - I would be interested whats the best way to contact you? Subito -400€ crikey - maybe I'll keep them as they are for a while  Smiley

thanks

Richard

Do the wheels on your car have the little lugs welded onto the rims to take the fixing set-screws for the rim embellishers?  It is only the Series 1 1300 'S' spec cars that have them together with hub-caps that have the riveted-on Lancia shield.  1200 and 87bhp 1300 have plain hub caps (as seem to be on your car in the photo) and no embellishers.  If the lugs are there, then a thin-wall rubber tube sleeves over the lug, which is slightly longer, so that the embellishers bed on to them and does not rattle against the wheel-rim, metal to metal.

If you are still looking for embellishers, I have a set of 4 new ones, as re-manufactured for Michael Newberry, in the late 1980s.  Send me a PM.

Regards - Roddy
