MY 1600HF IN HEARTBEAT GARAGE

« on: 15 November, 2011, 12:34:23 PM »

Hello all, I am trying to find the original red paint colour for my 1972 1600HF, i cannot read the label on the glovebox anymore, looking through some old bills from the 80s, when it had a small repair, the paint shop put on their bill  flowline corsa 151. I was wondering what the propper name of the colour would be. thanks Roger Roll Eyes

A resource I have found recently which might be of interest to fellow Lancisti...

Go to:

You should now be logged in ... so click on 'Formula' and choose Lancia as the manufacturer; this should give all the codes for all Lancia paints.

I believe the colour for your 1972 HF is 1360 i.e. Rosso La Plata

Stop press...

Apparently Rosso La Plata is a slightly metallic colour for the 1.6 HF Lusso.

If yours isn't a Lusso model it's likely to be Lancia Rosso Corsa (Lechler code NF 8071) unless the age of your car put into Fiat paint territory in which case you might have Fiat Rosso Corsa (Lechler code 851-123/L).

The good news is that any competent Lechler outlet could mix up a test amount from their formula CD for you to double check!!!

Scott, that is very useful for the forthcoming painting of the B12....whenever that is!

Thanks.

Rosso Corsa also translates into R3/R279 in 2pack.  It is a rather dark red, looks lovely on mine.

Oops, rosso corsa is Italian Racing Red which is the brighter red.  The darker red is rosso york.  See http://color-online.glasurit.com/.   Also, colour codes at http://www.lanciamontecarlo.net/Montecarlo/Colour2.html  which gives the codes for Max Meyer water based paints, much nicer to spray.
