I like the " I have no Idea what it's worth"
And yet he has it listed with reserve.

I'm astonished - no one bought it! 1 bid of £3,500 and reserve not met.

Anyone know what the reserve was? What's it worth?

Robin.

P.S. Thinks...... is it waiting for me? Very close to home. Grin

Brian I assume a tongue was in a cheek there, not sure what the LOOK was in the 1930s, but the pic provided would certainly put me off, even from a colour scheme perspective!

Of the two cars advertised, the first is a very rare Belna Coupe, the only other one I know of is Don Williamson's, (I'm sure Don can confirm) so I don't think it's price is too high. The second is a Belna Cabriolet, again very rare, yes the colour scheme is not period, but again the starting price for negotiation isn't miles off.
The ebay car is a saloon, nowhere near as rare, so should be alot cheaper than either of the other two. To restore it totally would not be economic, but if it could be returned to the road  without too much expenditure, leaving it in its original 'as found' condition it could be a viable and interesting proposition.
This is another Augusta project for sale http://www.europeanclassiccars.co.uk/cars_23.html

The Autoscout coupe is different from mine in that it is much closer to the normal saloon ie the door hinges at the front and the roof height is normal where as in mine the door is much larger and hinges at the back also my roof has been lowered so the rear window is only just above the boot.

It looks as if the waist moulding has been removed.  Restoration would probaly cost more as much or more than the finished car would be worth in UK.

Judging by the prices being asked in Italy we all need to re-assess insurance values!
