I have a pair of 145/80R14 Continental Winter tyres available still with good tread depth. Otherwise try these: 145/80R14 Bridgestone Blizzak

Narrower tyres tend to be best - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2x2g3uaI244

Not sure if 145s would sit on HF rims? Looks like I have sorted problem with used winter Toyo 165 80 14. the wheel sits in the boot with chain already affixed. if I get stuck then I only have to fit one chain. say two minutes lost plus a bit of weight around the stomach!
