Have a 92 Dedra and have to change the belts/waterpump before it goes back on the road. Problem being my local motor factors have it on their system, but cant get it in, and Fiat want almost €180 for the pump. Is there anywhere in the UK who can get genuine or generic ones in. Ive looked at the likes of Eurocarparts but they are out of stock.

I am aware there are 2 types of pump as 1992 Dedras are in a 'crossover' year, so dont want to spend ages waiting on a pump to find its the wrong one! The last 4 digits of the chassis number are 2979, but can provide the full number if required

TIA

Cat or non-cat might help determine which type of water pump . Smiley

Shouldn't need to climb underneath as you should be able to see if it has a Lambda Sensor on the front pipe section from under the bonnet.

Don't forget to mark up the belts before removal, bring the timing to TDC and tippex everything.  Smiley Thanks, david.

Ed, the balance shaft has to be timed, there are timing marks on the pullys. if you dont time them properly the engine will be out of balance. thanks . David  Smiley

Hi Ed,
Be nice to know another will make it back on to the road as they're certainly few and far between these days, if you need access to the manuals drop me an email.
