If you read your Viva Lancia you will be aware that we are looking at an event to celebrate 50 years since the first Fulvia Saloon was produced. While not yet set in stone, first ideas are that we will try to build a weekend event round a trackday, possibly Goodwood (if we can get a date). Those of you who were at Fulvia 25 will remember what a good event it was and how well it was supported.  I have a team of about 10 volunteers who have offered to help but any ideas for format are welcome or even an indication of how many of you might support such an event.  We don't expect to please all of the Fulvia owners all of the time but it would be good to appeal to a majority of you!  Keep 'em rolling. Peter Gerrish. (P.S. Would someone who understands these things please tell me the purpose of the "Message Icon" bit at the start of a posting?)

I think that anyone who is interested should post on this thread over the next few months, That will give an idea of numbers early on, or we can start a new thread just for the numbers that wish to attend. I think it can be set so as you can add yourself to the list. Thanks david. Smiley

Me too

Good wood seems appropriate if a May or later slot can be achieved.

Equally if we can get something like Covent Garden on a summer Sunday...

Dear Peter and members,

Carol & I would love to attend Fulvia 50th with her "Tigger" (Fulvia coupe' 1.3S 5 speed) and are hoping to be permanently lving in the UK by that time.  If we are, we would perhaps be prepared to help with organisation, catering etc.

We would love a weekend at a country hotel with scenic drives around the area (a giro), champagne picnic lunches, and hearty dinners where we can swap Fulvia Fables.  While this may not get a lot of outside publicity for the model, marque, and club, it beats sitting around while strangers poke at one's car and ask inane questions!  Grin

Regards,
Guy & Carol

Not a Fulvia man, I fell for the Appia, but Guy and Carol, interesting to see that you are coming to the UK. Just one question, how many of your Lancia collection will accompany you ?  I would regard relocating within Europe (or even the UK come to that) as  a challenge with a collection like that to move around, even though many seem to be roadworthy.

                 Andy

PS What happened to the Essagamma ?  If its still around maybe that could help with the logistics once you are on UK soil !!!!!

Hi Andy, we are planning to bring 3 Lancias with us at first.  Unfortunately my British compatriots chickened out of the Esagamma project and even I am not brave enough to tackle something as BIG as that on my own for now!  Grin

Have expressed my interest and indicated my willingness to Peter to help out. Two years to get the Fanalone gearbox sorted out!

I have also let Peter know that I will be available to help.
As for ideas:
I have always been concerned that I am the only lucky one to be able to see all what the Library has to offer unless members come to see me in deepest Berkshire, so what about in the hotel we stay at, we would normally have a room for registration etc. and I could also set up a display of the Fulvia manuals, books, test reports, history etc. in there so members can look-sse and maybe place orders for things I am allowed to copy.  The room would have to be secured when not maned but I do not see that as a problem.
If it worked, I could do displays for other events in the future.  Do you think that would interest folk?

Good idea. I have a couple of portable (folding) book stands which you could borrow.
