Just wondering if any Aprilia drivers are planning to spectate at the above VSCC meeting.
I am afraid I have left it too late to arrange special "Aprilia 75" parking but I do plan to be there on the Sunday. If any other Aprilia's are going the only way to park together would be to arrive together, ie meet up close by beforehand, say in Winchcombe. I will be coming from Oxford and don't plan to set out too early!

Mike and Cyn Wheeler will be in their Lambda hopefully. I'll be in mine with a couple of friends from Oz, so how about meeting at Witney, which is very much on the way? That's assuming you don't mind parking with us old'uns. Regards, John

Hello Ben,
Looks like family commitments might get in the way of Mike and Cyn attending this year after all, but I'll be at the Ducklington roundabout (off of the A 40) at about 08.15 on Sunday. There's a garage on the roundabout which is a convenient place to meet, as I often buy my sandwiches for the day there. Any others going? Regards, John

Ben,
I plan to bring the Aprilia on the Saturday  -  too late for tickets-in-advance, and difficult to forecast journey time from West London but will join you on the day in the Orchard.

I will be there only on Sunday Nick so obviously wont meet up.
Also your timing a bit early for me John so maybe see you there.
I've just heard Alistair Templeton will be there with his Aprilia(UBK 700) selling programs at the footbridge.

After a fast run from West London in the Aprilia, I got to Prescott about 0930 and parked in the pre-war corral in The Orchard. There was a wonderful Lambda turn-out and I was positioned not far from Mike Benwell's open tourer. Apart from a brief shower, the weather was dry, sunny, partly cloudy. The Course Car was also a Lambda.

Alistair Templeton's Aprilia was parked prominently by the Bridge and a passer-by told me of another parked at the back of The Orchard, tho' I could not find it.

This is the friendliest and most picturesque VSCC meeting of the year. Whilst vintage racing cars take to the hill, a GWR steam-hauled train chuffs gently by in the distant valley. Pure heaven.

My return journey was trouble free, and I am still intrigued by the fact that I can only get 23 mpg from my 1350cc.

It was indeed a superb VSCC Prescott meeting, although there was more rain where I was standing! We will have a full image gallery by lunchtime today at www.retro-speed.co.uk that includes the two Lambda. Sorry to have missed everyone but duty calls.
