I've no idea what the point of this crazy car chase is, but if Top Gear did road tests like this I'd be far more inclined to watch it.

Judging from the assembled cars, this clip is from the late 1980's and it emphatically demonstrates the all round superiority of the Lancia Thema over its market rivals.

You have to watch the clip for quite a bit before you even realise that there is a Thema in the race, the Lancia is that far out in front of the pack.

Keep watching until the end to see an utterly amazing jump by the Thema... don't try this at home!

Great stuff.  Assume at a proving ground like MIRA or something.  My only problem with it was expecting a voice over telling me what was going to be in this weeks edition of Panorama.
