A good show. I have photos of unusual racing cars, which I can post in the other thread if of interest.

On Thursday 13 September we were on a Great Rail trip to Italy. After emerging from a boring tour of the Ducal Palazzo in Mantova, Eileen suddenly said "Look, there's an Aprilia"
We left the group and found that cars were arriving for the GRAN PREMIO NUVOLARI. This annual 1000km tour was being held 14-16th and a full list of the 312 starters can be found on their website (very few British entries but lots of Lancias). Sadly we couldn't stay for the start on Friday.

Love the photos of the Aprilia, Geoff.
Do you have any more?

Rather nice Flavia PF Coupe (ex member car in database) parked at my local bodyshop (Motts) on Essex/Suffolk borders.

Anyone know this car?

Not on the road in the photos but Patrick did take me for a run Grin
Back in 1997 Have fond memories of following Mike and Denise Jennings in this very car down through Switzerland, chasing it up the Simplon pass, through into Italy to Lake Orta, then up to Fobello on a Randino with Frank Dehler.

Red 16.HF Fulvia seen today around 1pm in the East end of London, on the A 13 heading towards the city.
Very good to see in the wild.

Seen at the Lambda Winter Lunch today. This Lambda Saloon is an ex John Vessey car. Apparently it’s new owner has recently had the pleasure of driving it to Albania and back.

Later comments

In response to off-forum questions:

No, I don’t think the empty barrels stacked up at the side were for the fuel he used to get to Albania and back.

Yes, the shiny covers on the lower parts of the sliding pillar units are unusual.

No, I don’t know what the brass bell hanging in the centre of the track rod is for!

But isn’t it a lovely car with a good story?

Colin
