Yellow Integrale Evo nailing it through the road works in Baildon on Monday. Probably the one I used to occasionally see parked at the nearby Post Office.

Fulvia S2 Berlina KPD 569K - enriching the streets of Belgravia today!

KPD didn’t make it to the Goodwood Trackday yesterday, but it was seen and admired in good company today at a somewhat posh gathering of fine cars in Chesham Place Gardens. The photos show how early on it was partnered with a well known Aurelia B24, which is now wearing a ‘Vaticano’ badge suggesting it has received a higher blessing. Later in the morning there were other Italian marques trying to be seen in KPD’s company.

The journey there and back was memorable too – I am sure the startled looks we received from people on the streets and other motorists were simply in admiration.

So unkind of you to post this Colin - I'm missing her even more now!  Grin

Margaret used to love taking KPD on shopping trips to Waitrose where, because of her heart problem, she would get young shop assistants to wheel her trolley for her and load the bags into the car. The young lads were astonished when they set eyes on the Fulvia and in the main very complimentary of it and Margaret for driving it.

Sorry you didn't make Goodwood - you were missed, especially as I had the door rubbers etc with me which were left behind when you and Simon collected her.

Robin.

Colin - Your adventures in KPD are surely worth their own thread, rather than tagged in cars seen, which some members might not read?

Dark green Augusta Berlina seen at Silverstone today. This was in the Vintage car park at the VSCC Spring race meeting. Lancias were thin on the ground at this wonderful race meeting, but this Augusta looked absolutely right – just as if it had arrived after a long journey and perfectly at one with other exotic machines - including the endearingly eccentric Morgan parked alongside!

Hi Colin, not so thin on the ground at Silverstone yesterday. My car, now registered with DVLA, and suddenly, there was a pair, after being joined by this superb later model.

That would have been a good thing to see and I am sorry I missed it - they both look great. I was probably preoccupied with looking at some of the extraordinary machines that turn up at these wonderful VSCC events - like this Hotchkiss, an endurance record breaking car, which actually raced and did very well.

Colin
Owned and raced by Steve Smith of "Vibration Free" - and it sounded (as was to be expected) as smooth as silk!
All the VSCC race results can now be seen at www.theresultslive.co.uk/vintage-sports-car-club This even works as the title suggests - while the race is running, with a 5 second or so delay. The site also shows last years results.

Not sure if this is correctly a 'Lancia cars seen on the road' post, but all the cars in these photos were definitely on the road today and seen touring through the hills and lanes of the Surrey Hills for Drive It day (thanks to Neil Sims for excellent organisation and route plan).

A good range of Lancias from '30s to 80's. My personal favourite (apart from my Flavia Vignale, obviously) was the pale grey Fulvia SII coupe; 30k miles and amazingly original with a lovely cloth interior and perfect factory body gaps and lines.

At Donington today with Barrie Williams, who incidentally is now the proud owner of a series 2 Fulvia 1.6HF.

Spoke to the owners wife at Bicester Heritage, last year, unfortunately I missed the Gentleman himself but the Milleotto is in lovely condition.
