I posted this note on the spares wanted page a few weeks ago, but got zero response, so thought I'd try the Beta page instead.

I need a few fairly obscure parts for my Beta Coupe, that sadly have gone missing over the many years it has been in storage. Here's my shopping list:-

1. Rectangular shaped plastic fixings, used to fix on front wings and various other panels/bits - accepts a large self tapping screw. I need lots of them.
2. Removable metals panels from inner wings on both sides - i.e. the ones that nestle next to the brake pipe unions.
3. Plastic splash panels to inside of front wings - if anybody's got any!
4. Top air duct panel to radiator surround - you know the one that always rusts to pieces if you've got a slightly leaking radiator cap.
5. Rubber seal to drivers side window - normally attached to inside of stainless steel trim.
6. Chromed plastic bezel to inside door handles.

If anyone's got any of these bits maybe you wouldn't mind replying to this message or giving me a call on 07778-932434.

Many thanks,
Alan

Hi Alan,

I saw your 1st post, but didn't reply as I think that sending Lancia parts to the UK could be expensive.

However, that didn't stop me from successfuly delivring a Flavia grille surround safely to Scotland!

I have virtually all the parts you need, but will have to scratch them out from my garages if you are interested.

Kindest regards,
Guy.

Hi Guy,

Thanks very much for your reply. Good to hear that you've got most of the parts I need. Before you start digging them out of your garage, got any idea how much they might cost to to ship to the UK, based on your earlier experience with sending parts to Scotland? How do the postal charges work where you are? Is it based on weight, size or a combination of both? Am I right in thinking you're in South Africa?

Regards & thanks,

Alan

Hi Alan, dunno until I weigh the stuff, but I won't send it by the South African postal 'service' as they are a bunch of thieves  Angry

I took the Flavia grille surround to the UK in my luggage, and then sent it to Scotland by Royal Mail  Grin but no chance of that just at the moment.

Some of the parts I have are new equivalents.

I think it's best I send you a PM  and some pics to make sure you like what I have, a price, and then I'll check the shipping charges?

Hi Guy,

That sounds like a reasonable idea. It's probably a good time to take this dialogue off-line from the Lancia Motor Club Forum otherwise we may start getting complaints. I've set up a temporary email address where you can reach me. It's: alansmailboxfor-GuyinSA@yahoo.co.uk Perhaps you can send me a test email just to confirm it's working okay and also to let me know your email address.

Many thanks again for your time & trouble.

Regards,
Alan
