I am now selling my Y.

I have had the Y for three or four years and it has always been a good car to own. In that time it has been a fourth car so has been used relatively little, although it runs fine. It is R registration with electric windows and central locking.

It is light metallic green with green alcantara trim on the seats and dashboard. In my ownership it has had a clutch, front & rear struts, the heater matrix and probably other things I have forgotten. It has Mot till May and tax until November.

It has the 16v engine which has 85 hp if I remember correctly, which means that the car is quite peppy.

Bad points-

The speedo does not work, although the rev counter does so I estimate speed on that. The mileage is 140,500 km but has not risen since the speedo does not work.
One of the rear lights has damage to a lens which I covered with tape (secondhand lights available on ebay in europe)
I reversed out of the garage and hit the passenger mirror which broke the frame off. I "repaired" this with a long nut & bolt
One of the wheel trims is missing
There is a dent on the lower part of the passenger door
no stereo
Airbag light is on, this happened after I removed the dash to replace the heater matrix, I trapped a wire under the steering column.
The hose from the windscreen washers has a leak

It is hard to value this car. I think it is worth 500-750 but you tell me!

Car is near Chelmsford in Essex and i am on 0777 16 11 681

I plan to ebay in the next few days if no-one wants it.

Thanks!
Jai

It's real pity we are not more permanently in the UK as I would snap it up!  Sad

Thanks Brian/Guy.

More than 60 people watching it so far - quite surprising!

Given the price it's up to now, you'll be glad the first buyer bailed out!

True enough! Although the highest bidder is in Belgium and a previous high bidder was from Romania! Also a couple of Brits in the running

You would imagine there would be 100s to choose from in Europe....must be the exchange rate worth the hassle to get it from the UK?

Shouldn't be too hard considering it came from the other side of the ditch in the first place,  being LHD and being built for Europe in the first place should help, it shouldn't hold any problems with the paperwork returning home, and the exchange rate would certainly help.
I went to France and Belgium in November and boy was it expensive, I came back with best part of 100 euros and the exchange rate here is so poor, that I'm hanging onto them in the hope the exchange rate picks up a bit or until I go next time.
Anyway Jai's Y last time I had a view of it was very nice.

We have a Y that we bought for £500 just over a year ago, the equivelent in most europian countries is over 3000 euros,  some as much as 5000 euros.   Whoever bought it in Europe has a bargain.

That has to be considered a result! Lets hope the buyer turns up. Well done.
