Anyone on here bought the yellow S2 Zagato on eBay. It was a 'Buy it now' for £2750. A tidy profit for the seller.

Well that's where I found mine, but must say I didn't see a yellow one recently. Where was it hiding? Got the web address so that we can see what we've missed?

Here we go; item No 110436599070. It originally sold to the latest seller for £1550 from an employe of Tanc Barrets which looking at the detailed images I got was still overpriced. The door has pulled away due to complete corrosion of the A post, the ends of the sills are shot. Rear valance is lace as they usually are and the door cards are ruined from damp. It does though have a lot of history seems complete and is probably worth restoring if you can weld. If you compare it to the recently sold red 1.3S2 Zagato, also on eBay for £3750 then you can see that £2750 is over the top for a restoration project.

Now repairing that would be worth a thread or two  Shocked

I may just start that thread then, having done just that job on one of my Zagato's along with rebuilding door frames, fitting a new rear valance, fronr end of the floor pans where it is triple skinned.........

i'm sure this car belonged to a man called simon from wrexham up until about 3yrs ago, it was identical and origionally red, bit of a shed, the sills had been done and a new exhaust when he'd bought it, rear vallance sticks in my mind as being rotton, he had engine problems of water getting into the oil, removed head etc and changed gasket and i'm pretty sure he never got it running again  Huh? i remember he'd paid well over the odds for its condition but it was on the road "JUST!"

Seriously, I would be very interested to see and understand how you have gone about it and what you found.

Apparently the buyers (in his 30's) mother called to say he was not buying it! Or maybe he realised the amount of work he would be in for.
