Hello again, still working on the carbs.the question is regarding the accelerator pump discharge screw, when I remove the cover screws should I see a jet below and can you clean them?

looking forward to any advise.

yes, they all unscrew. clean them in carb cleaner (or an ultrasonic tank if you have one), rinse and then blow through with compressed air. If you haven't got a compressor you can buy cans of compressed air from places like Halfords.

hi neil, thank you for the reply, when you say they unscrew is that after you have removed the brass screws from the top? than you for the tip re. compressed air, would never have thought of that.

You have a diaphram, a reservior with two holes in (first photo) and if you take that off you see the jets (second).

Update on carbs. I bought some compressed air today and carb. cleaner that done the trick. The carbs. had a lot of sediment in them. I have done one carb today next one tomorrow so I should have them back on the car by tomorrow afternoon, fingers crossed.
